I don't have a problem with their having had good education, but I find wanky their pretence to be otherwise and the way they crack on that they are of the people and that somehow they share the experience of and concerns about provision for the hoi polloi.

Oooh .... that reminds me of the other thing that was grinding my gears yesterday: they had that bloke who speaks for the CBI on the radio last night banging on about what great work commerce does for social leveling and opportunity. Does.It.f**k.
Also, if he said "look, I'm just a Jewish boy from Belfast" once, he said it a dozen times.
Apart from that, he came across as a decent bloke, but a clueless academic with no real common ground with the people or appreciation of the facts. He seemed to have confused ambition with achievement". The problem is that he sounded to reasonable. Dangerous, that.
