I get that in this day and age, you have to have some chicks in the armed forces, but couldn't they have got some taller ones or got them to wear platforms? There were definitely some oompah-loompahs marching today.

I was somewhat surprised that all the shops were open in Worthing today. Even the Job Centre was processing Universal Credit claims, which was surprising enough for the public sector on a Saturday, let alone on a Coronation Day.

There wasn't that much interest here, suppose it being on in the middle of the night and all that. And there was mostly indifference from family and friends in the UK

It was massively popular here and around the world. Loads of countries around the world are now making enquiries about having King Charles as their head of state. France, Germany, Japan, Turkey etc.

Well, if everyone agrees it was an unimportant irrelevance to ignore, and the Saturday was like every other, then that’s progress. But feels like a waste of several hundred trillion quid if it really was just a normal day.
