yeah Cruz started to look decidedly creepy as soon as he grew a beard, he was just a bit oily before, now he's full on has that 'probably drives a white panel van full of sweets and puppies' vibe about him.

They look neither ridiculous nor creepy. Just normal. How the way hair grows from the body ever look ridiculous or creepy? Are you really saying that JD Vance and Ted Cruz do not have weird creepy facial hair? They are creepy and it’s nothing to do with their facial hair. JD Vance actually looks FAAAAAAAAR better with the beard and eyeliner than without either. He actually genuinely looks weird af without the beard.

Interesting. I wonder if any of the stolen money found its way into Keir's korrupt koffers? "The Serious Fraud Office is investigating the construction of a hotel and conference centre owned by one of the UK’s biggest trade unions, the BBC can reveal. Unite the Union spent a total of £112m of its members’ money on the project in Birmingham. The building has since been valued at just £29m, suggesting £83m has been wasted. A KC-led inquiry commissioned by Unite’s general secretary Sharon Graham also identified a missing £14m which has been described as a “mystery” and does not feature in the project’s final accounts. Unite has told the BBC the case is “now with the Serious Fraud Office” and Ms Graham, who took over as Unite general secretary in 2021, would “leave no stone unturned in finding out if there was any financial wrongdoing”." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn5z54236wgo

Weren’t you defending her the last time this story was posted?

I don't think so. Perhaps you misunderstood. You often do.

I can't remember what I thought but the investigation concluded that she'd had a medical episode and that that was that. There isn't much more to be said if that's the case but now it seems it wasn't investigated properly. All that seems fair enough.

I think the parents probably smell a rat and needed the procedural cock-ups to re-open the case. The seizure condition seems very unlikely, from what's being said and I wouldn't be surprised if they if the end game is to get a second opinion.

They should sue Land Rover for making cars that can kill children.

I think the suggestion is that she was pissed or high or driving dangerously and that the whole epileptic thing is just too convenient.

I know. Parents often want someone to blame for the deaths of their children. They should pick the most serious culprit, which is cars which are far more designed to protect those inside the vehicle than those outside.

I had to do a speed awareness course the other day. The first time I've been caught speeding. It did allow me to reflect that in 43 years of driving, I've never killed a kid.

I don't think so. Perhaps you misunderstood. You often do. [Leaders of a school where two pupils died after a Land Rover crashed into an end-of-term tea party say they feel let down by the Metropolitan Police’s investigation. Last week, prosecutors decided the driver of the car that killed eight-year-olds Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau would not be prosecuted as she had suffered an epileptic seizure. The Met has now launched a review of its investigation into the crash at The Study Preparatory School in Wimbledon, south-west London. In their first interviews since the pupils were killed, the current and former headteacher, who was in charge at the time of the crash, have told BBC News the Met has failed to answer some of their key questions about the incident. They say they are “angry, sad and confused” by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decision not to prosecute." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c03lgdzpw8goOhjustfuckoff. Who do these people think they are? They need to wind their necks in. Who cares what they think? How is it even relevant?] Maybe no defending but definitely questioning those who wondered if this had been properly investigated. newsgeneral.proboards.com/thread/27372/handcart?page=22

And looks like I was right…again…to challenge the rigour of the investigation …

"Chris and Jemma: Vasectomy aged 33 HGV driver Chris Taylor and dog groomer Jemma Wrathmell jointly earn an income of about £60,000 and have been together for 11 years. The couple, who live in Wakefield in West Yorkshire, considered having children. "We have had deep conversations where we go through the options and discuss things like school, cost and routine," Gemma says. But the conclusion was that the cost was too high. "After all our bills and essentials there is no room in the budget to accommodate a child," Chris says. "We don't see how our finances will get any better within the next few years." As a result, they have taken a "definitive decision" - Chris is seeking to have a vasectomy, after years of Gemma having a contraceptive implant." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g7x5kl5l8oOh, dofuckoff you two. £60k a year and you "can't afford" kids? In Wakefield? You just don't want kids. That's fine, but whining about affordability is just gay. What a pair of tubes.

Anyway, seems fair enough, doesn’t it? Kids seem to be monstrously expensive things to have these days. Even more of a money sink than cars and houses.

I never thought I would see the day when people are open about not having kids because they cannot afford them and face criticism! Not everybody wants to live in financially reduced circumstances (because kids do cost money). Could they do it on 60k? Yes. Would they be able to lead the lifestyle they want on 60k with kids? Likely not. (But childcare especially is insanely expensive. I could not believe the prices I have seen quoted!)

Maybe they'll get a puppy, or perhaps a goldfish.
