Lest we forget. David Lammy is now Foreign Secretary. David Lamey, more like. Seriously, how is it possible that a moronic churl like him can be elevated to high office? I met him. Nice bloke. And did he, in fact, want "fries with that?"

I've been reading up on Keir Starmer and his earlier career.
He seems a reasonable bloke and not nearly as wet as some people are trying to make out.

I heard someone from Labour describe the independent pro-Pal activists as "insurgents" on the radio just now. That's likely to bring a few complaints.
It was quite fun listening to the pundits reviewing Starmer's speech and saying how contradictory it seems 24 hours later. They were quite a good crowd, and I'm only sorry I didn't catch their names or indeed more of the programme.

It turns out that there are currently zero football league club grounds in Tory constituencies. Not one of the 92. You need to go to the fifth tier to get one. In a month there'll be newly promoted Bromley. In the meantime, none.
It's a funny stat, but also a pointer that the Tories are now basically an entirely rural party.

It's possible that Tory constituencies tend not to be shitholes too.

I see the Tories, predictability, have learned all the wrong lessons, Braverman and other have been saying they lost cos they weren't far enough to the extreme right.
Gonna be interesting watching them thrash around in the wilderness for the next few years.

So basically anywhere with a lot of people or a city has completely abandoned the Tories. It is interesting that they only seem to be popular in the countryside.

Nah, cities often have several seats. Their football grounds aren't necessarily in the smart bits.

Van - Oxfordshire has a lot of countryside in it although, as of last Friday morning, you’ll not find one Tory MP in the whole of the county - the first time in history that this has happened.

I saw that. It's magnificent. Also a bit surprising given the state of some of rural Oxfordshire

Yet another way in which Cambs > Oxon. We've still got two Tory MPs. Down from five, mind.

I see that Labour are abandoning the Green Belt, or rather changing the meaning of "green".
We have a dropping birth rate and yet our population is increasing. We don't- can't - look after the people we have, so why the f**k are we importing more?
Also, who decided that everyone was entitled to their own house or flat? Live with your families and/or don't start your own until you can look after them.

Is the green belt now to mean the Islamist green belt?
