and I thought, "Aha." Then I read that it assumes there is no contraceptive and a variety of other things and ignores other things and I realised that it is, indeed, shash. Sometimes your instincts are right.

if alcohol was taken out of the picture, there would possibly be less sex on the first date...
having said that, there are some people you meet where you know, from the first look, sniff whatever, that you will have sex, others where there is a sexiness in getting to know the other one and falling into lust...
then again, it could be crap and another sexist observation (whether written by a woman or man) or quite true because whilst sex as sex is good, sex with someone you love is utterly amazing

And I mean that's just a laugh aint it ? Those women who think they're best advised not to sleep with a man on their first date are normally either holding out cos they think it's to their advantage to, or are worried they'll be labeled easy.I doubt there's very many who are thinking about it being more harmonious if they wait

I'd have thought if you do something they don't like they'd tell you. But even if you've been "dating" and not shagging for a while, you still have to do the first time in bed and you don't know what they like and you might do something they don't like. Unless your courtship has consisted of planning your first night in bed together, and that sounds vile.
