Almost 40 per cent women reportedly said they were at their most attractive at the age. Among celebrities turning 32 this year are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sophie Dahl and Liv Tyler. Many reportedly explained that at 32 their life had the mix of confidence gained from life experience, an active love life and the pleasure of eating and drinking sensibly. Dr Sandra Wheatley, a psychologist, told the Daily Mail that the survey's findings were "really encouraging" and indicated that women placed value on life achievements as well as youthful looks. She told the newspaper: "It sounds to me like women are becoming much more swayed by personality. It's a sign that we are valued for who we are and what we are capable of, not just what is on the surface. "Feeling beautiful is tied in with confidence and life experience. At 32, a woman has been through and survived more experiences and achieved more than at 22. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/4355125/Women-feel-most-beautiful-aged-32.htmlRoll on August then.

It been known for years that between thirty-three and thirty-six, women are in their absolute prime. Mentally and physically at their best.

Three years doesn't sound a very long prime. Still, I'm only 31 and I already feel ace so I guess my philosophy of making the most of it quick before it goes is a sound one.

However, when your wife reaches forty it's best to swap her for two twenty year olds.

At your age you make twenty year olds 'also rans.' Some are very pretty but lack maturity, self assurance and confidence. You, obviously, are aware of the difference. Enjoy while you can.

Cuts both ways of course. I was talking to two guys last night, one was 24 and one was 39, guess which one was sweet but not very bright or interesting.

as usual much depends on life and style... at 32 i was the mother of 3 kids (4th born when i was 36) and was at my most active - working, raising a family blah blah.... you feel beautiful or not, whatever age.... as usual men, relate a woman's beauty to her sexual attractiveness, but then again they often peak early !

You obviously fancied 'baby snatching'. A fit twenty-four year old guy for a one night stand but not for long term. At that age premature whatcha call it will probably be a problem. I suggest you sample a fit early forties model. Lastability assured, usually.

I agree with the article too. In my early thirties i was confident, wasn't worried about getting older, liked my figure. Also the children were small, i had my last baby at 34. It is a good age for women, but generally a very busy phase! Seemed much simpler than today, far less stressful!

You obviously fancied 'baby snatching'. Nah. The 24 year old clearly had a very good heart and so on but not the sharpest tool in the box. I don't want to be anyone's mother.

Women invariably turn to mothering their men as they get older anyway, or should that read "smother" - lol!

Most definitely jonren! Having a baby at 34 was a piece of cake and raising the baby/child too. Much easier than my first baby at 22! I could've carried on having babies for years then lol! I felt fit, healthy and energetic . . . . that is not to say that i don't now at times, i just need a nap in the middle lol!

The male menopause lasts for about fifty years, Libby. It is just another way of saying grumpy and lazy.

It's like any other mood, it lasts until you laugh/slap them out of it.
