Elton John's 'marriage' recently broke up.If he took pity on Gary Glitter and offered him a home, would you approve of them adopting. If not, why not? Let us imagine that partnership actually took place before Glitter offended, what would the council in question say to an application from them?
I would not trust two 'snowdrops with any child. So I am biased. Cries of homophobe slide off my back very easily.

Well in that case two father figures
They aren't two father figures though, one's a stone and one's a sponge to quote Fellini or summat.
Come over here and suck Mum's cock!

Show some sympathy for the kid adopted by a gay couple when he has to tell his adopted parents that he thinks that he might be straight.

If he took pity on Gary Glitter and offered him a home, would you approve of them adopting. That is really silly and not worthy of a reply.

Only because Glitter is a criminal. They may have teemed up ten years ago. Both in show business and of roughly the same era. I asked a hypothetical question. Nothing silly about it, Catherine.

Neither should adopt because they're both freaks.
Now what about Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr, nice hetero couple, can they adopt etc and blah.

So the SS now use threats of ensuring the grandparents never see the children again to get them to comply with the orders of the SS Gauliters?
I thought intimidation and threatening behavour was still illegal in the UK or is that only for non Government employees.

Oh hey. Social services promote diversity. That's it. Placing kids with gay couples is brilliant stuff. Brainwash the kids into accepting that the gay lifestyle is prefectly normal. Daddy loves you. And so does daddy. What about mummy? Who?
i don't know why gays want children. Is it really because of Brad and Angelina?

I think a make and female are probably better for a child. I have noticed children from a complete family unit seem happier than those who are not.
There are, of course, many exceptions where the single mother or father has a strong character and the children get lots of love.
Sadly, in a two parent situation there is not always love around, how do those children fare?
In the absence of a traditional couple there is probably a case to be made for gay adoption, I don't think gays should have priority.
Where I live a couple were rejected for being too fat.

Too fat? I hope they don't form a fat bastard pressure group demanding equal rights and an end to discrimination. A Fat Pride March would just look so terribly gross.

Jon, you always have a terrible habit of confusing men who fancy men with men who fancy kids, trust me they are very different creatures. Though Glitter is neither. One, Elton John is still very much with his long term male adult partner and two Glitter has never knowingly had a relationship with another man, in fact glitter likes little girls. So the idea that Glitter and John as a couple is beyond absurd.

Fed and Rose West, now there was a strong hetero family unit, lots of kids, mum and dad still together, and the totaly loved their kids!!
Oh I'm sorry we should just get back to discussing factual stuff like Elton John and Tinkerbell adopting.

Now that is a shock. Up until that point in the report, I had my money on Haringey, Brent, Hackney or Lambeth.Dunno why - Edinburgh's full of benders ..... Possibly the most factual post in this thread.

Lots of regular people think that, it happens because the PC brigade hold the high ground, I don't know why, but they do. Its rule by the minorities
How do they do it? I must say, I don't know.

So sad. I alway thought kids would be better off with their family, if the family wants them and the kids want to go there.
