All clear here on the Cumbrian Coast.
We had a few light flurries yesterday but nothing settled. Today is blue skies and sunshine (bitterly cold though).

Made an executive decision to work from home today. Got back from the football at about 7 last night and even then couldn't work out which spots on the street had yellow lines, thanks for the early few mm of snow. About 6 inches now (at least, that's what I tell the girls), and before long the boots'll be on and I'll go and see what the common looks like and how dead the streets are.
Of course, this being London, all the buses are dead, have the tubes are, most of the trains, Oxford Circus and Waterloo tube stations are shut. So, undoubtedly, there will be 60% of people who won't bother going into work, and the other 40% will be travelling the most stupid way possible, and there will probably be massive pile ups of vespas and so on out there.

Work from home - ah. Any problems with VPN capacity? If not, there may not be as much work being done as we think

This being Britain, all areas affected have, of course, ground to a halt. I live in London and cannto believe that I cannot get into work today. Tube from mine only going two stops in the direction I need. No guarantees after that and no guarantees I will make it home. So having a relaxing day at home.
It is all rather embarrassing imho.

It's affecting all lines which aren't completely underground. So the Victoria line is running fine. That's the only one that is.

Looking out of my window, there's about 8 inches on the steps leading down to my flat.
