Brutal Swedish justice may finally get its paws on the sweet innocent flower. The WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says he will agree to be arrested by British police on Friday if a UN investigation into his three years holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in central London does not rule that he is being illegally detained.
In a statement issued by WikiLeaks on Twitter, Assange said: “Should the UN announce tomorrow that I have lost my case against the United Kingdom and Sweden, I shall exit the embassy at noon on Friday to accept arrest by British police as there is no meaningful prospect of further appeal.
“However, should I prevail and the state parties be found to have acted unlawfully, I expect the immediate return of my passport and the termination of further attempts to arrest me.”

Despite his every effort, he's simply faded from view and I doubt anyone care much about the sex pest these days

I find the decision baffling. He's the one who decided to hole up in the Ecuadorian embassy. He can leave any time he likes.

He can't because he made a woman drink tea once. He told her it was from a bag, but he lied. She told him she only drank tea from a bag so he put bags in the pot but tore them. She says he made her drink the tea from the pot, so now he has to live in a cupboard where there is no tea.

The allegations relating to the torn tea bag have been dropped, I think. The only issue still being pursued is the one about how he gave another woman tea with milk in it in the evening, because she would only drink tea with milk in it because she didn't want to get scalded, but he started to pour tea without milk down her throat, while she was sleeping.

Some people don't mind tea, even when they are asleep; possibly the lady in question wouldn't have minded Julian Assange giving her tea while she dozed, as she had previously consented to have tea with him. But giving her tea the way he liked it while she was asleep, so he could get her to take the milk when he knew she absolutely did not want milk, was at best very, very shoddy and probably illegal.
Tea is serious stuff.

Hmmm when I made a cup of tea for my ex in the morning it nearly always led to sex.

a) Only if the tea spilled.
b) Only when the cupboard was a hide.

Alas, as she's the ex, it appears I didn't.

What a bizarre but predictable decision. Glad to see Dave's telling them to fuck the fuck off.

Perhaps the panel had information that confirms Assange's fears of extradition to the US. Sweden could at any time in the last 3 years have interviewed Assange in situ.

That'll be why I used "perhaps". I offered conjecture
