Think the only ones with Trump derangement syndrome is the cult, they accept every grift, every crime, every lie, every petty selfish act, 200,000 unnecessary deaths and now stealing money from a fund set up to help 911 first responders. Now that is deranged.

watching a disturbing documentary on just how vulnerable the wh and air force one were on 9/11. chaos and the fog of war and all that. air force one was totally on it's own and defenseless. the nearest fighter escort was at least an hour away.

took the air force an hour and a half to get two planes to protect air force one.

They didn't dare hurry - they might have been able to stop those planes hitting the WTC.

A big and easy target to bring down by a civilian craft?

Really? It would have to be a bit nippy. And I dare say AF1 has a few tricks up her petticoats, especially under attack conditions.

So, if Al Qaeda had happened to have a squadron of F-22s in US airspace at the time of 9/11, and knew the flightplans of AF1, then AF1 could have been vulnerable?

AF1 is capable of 0.92 mach and has a service ceiling of 45,000ft.
Good luck.

Vulnerable to who or what exactly?
By all accounts the hijackers were far from proficient pilots.

Our American cousins are prone to flights of fancy, aren't they?
Odd.

point is the people on the plane were worried, so obviously it's not quite as invulnerable as the naysayers in here want to believe it is.
