Womens Ashes now also exciting. After getting spanked a bit in the test, and given Oz’s recent form in short-forms of the game it looked like it could be a wipe out. But England win 3 on the trot to bring the scores level. They almost threw it away yesterday, but managed to get over the line

Fortunately, as God is an Englishman, he will hold off with the rain for tomorrow and Sunday.

It’s a hell of a scorecard so far.
I’ve long said, vocally, on this thread and elsewhere, what a brilliant choice it is to have Zak Crawley opener and Bairstow as keeper-batter.

Come on England !! Aussies have three wickets left and a hundred runs required …. All set for a grandstand finish …. rain permitting.

What a wonderful Ashes series.
OK Australia hold the Ashes - but Cricket lovers know how good this series was.

Broad’s last ball faced in tests was a 6. His last ball bowled was a wicket. What a way to finish.

A drawn series is a fair result, I think. Perhaps England were fractionally better, but it was close. I’ve never been convinced that “retaining the Ashes” means much in a drawn series. No “moral upper hand” for Oz here.

World Cup T20 (in USA and WI). USA beat Canada in their first match a few days ago which might be why you switched off. But today USA beat Pakistan!
