Especially for left luvvies? Aah - so the right really are different, should be treated differently, and are somehow " other". Got it. Obviously the same right who are still bemused as to why the electorate handed them their arses on a plate earlier this month. FPTP did that, not the electorate. Classic right response - it's all or nothing, black or white etc. etc. ... B*ll*cks - it was both the electorate and FPTP.

Point to remember when the Tories next “win”’a general election…

"Huw Edwards' BBC pay increased by £40,000 last year Former BBC news presenter Huw Edwards, who resigned from the BBC on medical advice in April, saw his salary increase by £40,000 last year. Edwards was suspended in July 2023 over allegations in The Sun newspaper of paying a young person for sexually explicit photos. Police did not take any action against him, saying there was no evidence that a criminal offence had been committed." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4ng8glnljyoQuite apart from everything else, how is any newsreader worth the thick end of half a million quid a year? It's utter nonsense.

"The contract for the Bibby Stockholm barge, which houses asylum seekers off the coast of Dorset, will not be renewed past January, the Home Office has announced. Extending the use of the barge, which is moored off Portland, would have cost more than £20 million next year. The three-storey vessel has capacity for up to 500 men, aged 18-65. Now run under a Labour government, the Home Office said the move was part of a commitment to “clear the backlog and fix the asylum system”." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg640n3372qoThe BBC have just waved this through without comment. It's a joke. It will cost £26M to house those fighting age men, with absolutely no explanation as to how Labour will fix the backlog. I think we can all guess though.

Why do we care what people get paid? Does it matter?

More immigration judges, faster processing, faster return to countries of origin, better process for legal immigration for low skill medium term workers. Dont just spend hundreds of billions on housing these people and doing nothing about them. Which is clearly a moronic and failing policy. It was hardly a policy at all because it resolves nothing.

Why do we care what people get paid? Does it matter? Depends if we're obliged to chip in.

Why do we care what people get paid? Does it matter? Depends if we're obliged to chip in. So you want to know and care about the incomes of literally everyone who works for any business which does any work for any part of the UK public sector? That feels petty. And unhealthy.

Return them to the country they came from (or any other country they want to go to who does want them) as soon as they fail.

So you want to keep secret the amount of money fabulously wealthy people get from the public purse? That sounds a bit forelock tuggy.

So you want to keep secret the amount of money fabulously wealthy people get from the public purse? That sounds a bit forelock tuggy. I just don’t care. It doesn’t need to be private. But I don’t know why anyone would care. What kind of pathetically petty person cares?

I made a point of distinguishing between employees and subbies. You’re just as obliged to chip in for subbies.
