Are you victim blaming the wife for not knowing her husband was going to become a controlling sh*t?

Anyway, I have no idea who he is, or what a Tracy Beaker is, nor can I read the article because it's behind the Telegraph's paywall, so I can't really contribute much to this.

In summary, it's about how the BBC employed yet another predator then pointed and laughed at his victim.

What do you expect from an organisation of Tories?

No idea who he is either.
But Tracy Beaker?! Famous fictional mixed-up hostel-homed teen girl, book and TV.
Not my thing, but I had kids 😀

Are you victim blaming the wife for not knowing her husband was going to become a controlling sh*t? I am talking generally - as most people date before marriage. When a marriage ends spectacularly quickly I wonder what the two people were doing before that. Unless it was a worldwind, get married after a week kind of wedding. My friend’s sister and her ex-husband never even collected their wedding photos as they were separated by then. WTAF?

I am ‘impressed’ at people’s ability to keep secrets/ conceal their identity for so long.

That's true. I've heard some shockers in my time. Families, eh?

This does feel like an Establishment soft landing. Funny that poor people that raise their voices to police dogs, go to prison.
I wonder how much of his salary the BBC have recovered. They made it quite clear that they were very cross indeed.

Much as I dislike saying this but, yes, I agree with your sentiments. Had Edwards not been in the public eye, I sense he would have been treated more harshly, and rightly so.
That said, the crimes of one individual shouldn't be seen as a reason to shut down the BBC. Why, by that very yardstick, the three top Parliamentary parties would have been wound up years ago - and again, perhaps rightly so.

This was a very interesting piece by Chris Mason. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czxgdgkew81oIt looks like battle lines have been drawn and allegiances declared. It seems like the BBC/Civil Service ratline is being publicly acknowledged and endorsed.

Do they usually have live press conferences for lawyers?

Auntie does seem to have set herself up as some sort of national ripe crisis centre. I'm not against the motivation, but it seems an odd diversion.
