Nah. The whole thing was set in train under Labour. Deliberate, racist spite. Advanced by the Tories who did nothing, NOTHING, to change it. Probably weren't even aware of Labour's sabotage.

“Many have been denied access to NHS treatment” Really? I find that difficult to believe I don’t. I had to pay to see a doctor when I visited the UK. NHS drop in centre in Boots. 50 quid. Then you're an idiot.

Honest you mean. I am non resident. Not going to lie about it. So you shouldn't have a problem understanding that getting NHS treatment isn't likely to be a problem?

That's fine for you, a visitor, so well down. Yer Windrusher was not in that position.

We should have a reciprocal agreement with decent countries like Australia. Mind you, the NHS is held in such low regard internationally that the Aussies might not consider the two systems equal.

Being EU members, non-residents use their EU health cards which covers them anywhere in Europe - isn't that civilised?

Yeah but the French cure for most ailments is a suppository. That might suit voice but I don't fancy it much.

Oh I don't know - stick one on the end of your knob and kill two birds with one stone.

Well done Theresa May! Well done indeed. Prudent conservatism saves the day.

Bottom line is that issue about the Windrush Generation thing isn’t about race but about the incompetence of the civil service . Of course Steptoe tried to politicise the matter and blame the Cons but as usual he consulted Abbott and screwed the whole thing up.

Then I stand corrected, although, the point being, I rather doubt anyone from anywhere who turned up at any A&E would be refused treatment in the U:K Unlike The Gambia, where they ask for proof of payment before they ask your name or what your problem is. That said, you will get charged for an aspirin tablet as the medical facilities are very basic.

Patch you up until it’s safe to let you go. I know that happens in Oz and they have the same issue with unpaid bills from overseas visitors. But doctors won’t refuse to treat a car crash victim until they can prove their entitled to treatment. They just treat them.
