Just announced on the BBC and Sky, the Israeli's have announced a unilateral ceasefire as of 02.00 Sunday18th, they calim they have reached the position where requirements to stop the fighting have been met!
It's an astute move, by announcing a unilateral ceasefire they have'nt ceded to any of Hamas's demands, and have said we will stop firing it's up to Hamas now as to whether it holds!
A guy from the IDF on another site I frequent has said briefings they are getting (hes up near the Lebanese border) are showing the fights pretty much out of Hamas, very few contacts now and no willingness to stand thier ground! he also said intel on Hamas was extremely good allowing the IDF to locate and disrupt the Hamas booby traps mines and tunnels which were supposed to stop the IDF. hes not outright admitting it but general consensus of opinion is a lot of this intel is coming from Fatah people who escaped the Hamas coup!!

From Reuters: "... but the Islamist group vowed to fight on in a war that has killed 1,200 Palestinians in the coastal enclave."
It looks like Hamas is prepared to fight to the death of the last civilian - no surprise there!

Is it approx 1,100 Arabs of Palestine killed by the Israelite Army and 6 Israelites killed by Arabs of Palestine ? Thats the kind of thing the Nazis did in France in retaliation. Now in my book thats genocide. Pre-planned and executed genocide - all planned to end before a certain event on Tuesday.

Hamas = happy fun times and smiley faces. Hamas = family bar-b-q's to the beach on Sundays. Hamas = Bringing up your family in a secure democratic environment. Hamas = Caring for people for genuine concerns. Hamas = religious tolerance. Hamas = ? where do you stop The people of Gaza deserve all the help they can get and we should give it but Hamas are a different story.

I think you mistake the results with the intend there brittles, the only reason we have not seen more dead Israelis is simply due to early warning for the civillians!

Most of those 1100 are Hamas throat cutters, the Israeli strikes were precision targeted. The civilian casualties were unintentional and unavoidable. If you are angry about civilian casualties vent your rage at the mass murderers and terrorists of Hamas.

its not a darts match Amazed,Israeli casualties are limited by the israeli early warning system, which means a lot of the civvies are hunkered down when the rockets are launched, not to mention some serious luck (the OAP home), Hamas fighters are included in that figure of 1200 and when you consideer the amount of hardware fired by the Israelis in a small region populated by 1.5 million, that tells me the Israelis are doing what they can to limit civillian casualties!

The numbers are around 1200 (a third of them children) vs. 13. That's what happens when the leaders hide like rats in underground bunkers leaving civilians without shelter to answer for their crimes. Israeli civilians suffered eight years of being targetted by Hamas' rockets while the UN personnel in Gaza stood and watched without a word of protest. and you people have the gall to criticise Israel? Israel provided early warning systems and shelters for its civilians for which they are to be congratulated - Hamas sacrificed their own people in order to kill a few Jews. And you people have the gall to criticise Israel?

So we're talking about approx 400 children (babies, toddlers, young teenagers etc.) who could never in a month of Sundays be described as terrorists - killed by the fearless heros of the Israeli Army?
400 children murdered by the sons of Abraham
Did somebody mention Babi Yar ?

Does anyone have any tally of the numbers of maimed and injured? We are told of the numbers of the dead but numbers of injured havn't been mentioned since the early days. Numbers of injured tend to amount to the number of dead multiplied by a factor of between 8 and 20.
When will we know these figures?

Very good point Puffin. I haven't seen any figures for people who have lost limbs and eyes due to the Israelite bombing offensive against the heavily populated urban areas in Gaza - where the term 'Precision targeting' is an impossibility.
But hey, the Zionist propaganda machine in New York and Tel aviv would have the world believe otherwise.

Well those who escaped the slaughter will grow up and join the resistance in large numbers and it all continue in the same depressing circle or ressitance and repression

" If I had my doubts - You have just cleared them. Whatever 'Captain" you claim to be, one thing for sure. You are not a Military Captain. All you have to do is watch the clips. True, there must be a minimal level of intelligence to understand what you see if you are not familiar with such information. So, before you boast that rank make sure not to look like a fool.... As to your problem with the "score" of fatalities, I suppose you would like to see the numbers match. Think of the meaning of what you are saying. Further, despite that "score" it is Israel that decided unilaterally to cease fire. Now, what do you make of that? Finally, to you and Amazed. How do you know that that number of dead children is correct? Past experience points to "exaggeration" (to say the least) of the number of children fatalities {A-Dura, "Green Helmet", etc.)

The time in Israel is now 10:00. 8 hours after the unilateral (conditional !!!) cease fire by Israel.
6 (SIX) rockets have been fired by Hamas at Israel !!!!!!
They did not attack the Israeli forces in Gaza. They shot the rockets at Israeli towns.
