I never got the hype over GotG.
They were both ok, but I found them just ok.

GoT's a mixed bag really, but relentlessly depressing, apart from the tits.

I love GOT, books and show. Although the last season of the show was a bit weird. I guess because they only have the key plot points now but have to work out the journey themselves.

I think whatsisname has writers' block and just doesn't know how to finish the story.

Going back to Black Panther: I have yet to see the point of modern superhero films. To me, they wear thin, and tend to involve a silly origin story, some stupid magical stuff, a super-villain opponent, way too long and tedious action/fight sequences, the superhero being deprived of their power only to get it back at the end, a couple of lame jokes and a massive SFX budget. Formulaic and predictable. Black Panther fits perfectly (as did, for example, Wonder Woman).
As a comparison, I watched Crazy Rich Asians last night. It was perfectly fine, and pretty good for a rom-com, but it was an entirely predictable rom-com. It's not actually a "good film". It's way, way too predictable and formulaic for that. Anything that happened was telegraphed to the audience half an hour out. That's how I feel about Black Panther.

I laughed and cried so hard! As a side point it was also great to see a big budget film without the usual approach to boring stereotyping of Asians which is basically white White led films tend to do. But yes CRA was my surprise hit as I usually hate the whole rom-com genre.

Watched 'Don't worry, he wont get far by foot' last night, a bit slow in places, but pretty good, worth a watch for sure.

Watched Wes Anderson's Isle Of Dogs at the weekend. It's better than any of the films actually nominated for an Oscar.
And, in an episode titled "My afternoon in hell", yesterday there was an American Football match, where even less than no, won by the evil New England Patriots, with a Maroon 5 Half Time show. If this wasn't grim enough, it was immediately followed by a variety show. Which was hosted by James Corden... And my wife left the TV on. I had to leave the room!

I am currently off TV as Mrs. Moggy is binge-watching every effing episode of Silent Witness since it was first made back in 1642. The cow.
I got a look-in last night though, when I single-handedly beat Bristol University in University Challenge.
Sometimes I amaze myself with my sheer awesomeness, I really do.

I used to quite like Silent Witness but it was on last night and I managed about 20 minutes of it before I got bored. It's just the same time and time again. Find a body, cut it up. That's the plot of all of them.

More or less verbatim as to what I told The Cow.
Got "The Look". F*ck*d off outta there pretty pronto.

Not so much watchin' as listenin' to a series of Vietnam Veteran Inteeviews on YouTube. These are quite long, individual interviews which deal with each individual's background and experiences before, during and after their deployment.
They are fascinating and usually quite jolly, but they throw up some amazing details about just how cynically the US Government treated these young men.

Line of Duty is utterly brilliant. It's all twisty turny plots and surprise deaths. Nonsensical but great.

Season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet arrived on Netflix last week. The first four episodes have maintained quality from seasons 1 and 2.
