That's a very EU counting method too. Assuming you know how people might vote.

Well, with a mother like this of course he’s pervy trash. I am waiting to see all the photos of Rubiales kissing male football players on the lips (without asking them). If there is nothing wrong with it and nothing sexist about it then there should be no issue with him doing it to the blokes too. South EU mothers. The males get spoiled and become sex pests. Typical South EU.

I get the distinct impression that a significant proportiom of Spaniards don't see the problem with the kiss. It's not like she's married or he dropped a hand.

That's a very EU counting method too. Assuming you know how people might vote. It’s showing what the majority of Britons support. Seems your fellow Britons are just as authoritarian.

Nice try…just face it. Salt Island is equally authoritarian. “ A separate poll by Sky Data released on Wednesday found that 59 per cent of Brits think the burqa should be banned, with just 26 per cent opposed. The survey also concluded that 60 per cent of people think Mr Johnson’s comments were not racist. There are a few conclusions we could draw here. It’s possible that since the last YouGov poll on the topic was conducted in April 2017, attitudes towards the burqa have hardened among the British public. It’s also possible that the burqa debate has, in the minds of some people, become a proxy for how people feel about Boris Johnson himself. The Sky poll was conducted within days of his article, referred to him by name, and used exactly his words. If you’re a Boris fan, you might be more willing to defend his comments – and if you’re not, you might be more inclined to say they’re racist or worthy of an apology.” And of course…conservatives are far more authoritarian than their liberal brethren “ Who supports a burqa ban? The best data we have on who supports a burqa ban comes from the YouGov poll that was conducted just before the 2017 Election. That survey found that 85 per cent of UKIP voters want to ban the full-face veil. Just under two thirds of Conservative voters also agreed that the burqa should be banned. Conversely, Liberal Democrat voters were the most likely to reject a ban: 67 per cent agreed that “people should be allowed to decide for themselves what to wear (including niqabs and burqas)”. The ban was also rejected by 63 per cent of Labour voters.“

It doesn’t matter what a “significant proportion of Spaniards” think. The only opinion that matters is that of Hermoso. Failing to understand that basic fact is why sexual harassment rates continue to be so high. It’s also really weird to somehow suggest that her not being married is at all relevant. The bodily autonomy of married women is more important than that of unmarried women? Or is it that a man touching another man’s property (the property being the woman, of course) is somehow a bigger deal? (I don’t think he should lose his job personally - just be told that he’s a creepy perv and he should refrain from kissing women without their permission.)

We rational centrist national conservatives despise that sort of authorarianism. People may wear what they like so long as it's not hurting anyone else, with the proviso that anyone whose attire conceals their identity should be obliged to prove that identity if asked to do so, but only if there is a valid reason.

I think he should certainly apologise to the kissee and promise not to get so carried away.
That recognition that he behaved in an unacceptable manner, and the acceptance that it was unacceptable, would probably do more good than hounding him out of his job.

On a side note - based on my first and last trip to the hell hole known as “Barcelona” it would not surprise me that a lot of Spaniards think it’s ok to touch women without their permission….

It's always been like that in South EU. Women used to joke about getting their bums pinched by Italians at least as far back as the 80s.
