Coincidentally, I was thinking about dope last night and my dope smoking days (early to mid 80s). Nowadays the talk's all about weed. There was almost no weed available in Edinburgh back then so nearly everyone smoked resin, the common ones being Rocky (Moroccan), Red Leb (from Lebanon) and P*ki black. Rarely there'd be some Kashmir and I think once the legendary Thai sticks (which was grass, I think). Nepalese Temple Balls was the other legendary type but I never saw that. Queer.

And my experience in Oxford in the late 80s and Manchester in the early 90s. The few people who had grass were exotic, but it wasn’t considered better.

I suppose from a supplier/dealer point of view, grass is easier because there's one less manufacturing process (carried out in a shithole country) although grass is bulkier. Maybe because it's apparently stronger these days it could become a replacement for the more concentrated resin?

Apart from the resin the only weed we ever saw was Sensamelia, sensi, we got from the Jamaica club, buy mostly it was resin.
Though later I knew a bloke in London who grew his own, but it was bit sh*t.
