Did the (unnamed) ladies complain at work about the behaviour of a colleague in the context of work despite the fact that the alleged offences occured during the course of a private sexual relationship conducted outside work?
Or
Did the (unnamed) ladies make an allegation of criminal physical and sexual assault against another member of the public the way that you or I might do, as private citizens?

shoplifter cracks security guards head with a jar.
security guard wrestles shoplifter to ground until police arrive.
police arrest security guard and he's charged with assault. now he's out of work.
shoplifter set free and can't be found.

This is interesting. A security guard shoots dead a black trans shoplifter. The security guard is not charged because of self defence grounds. Hysteria ensues. The "DA" seems pretty clear that the security guard was in fear for his life. It seems like the shoplifter may have threatened him with a knife.
