She's also sent the evidence she gathered to the IRS and DOJ.
Worth noting beyhond probable doubt does not apply in civil cases.

I suspect he'll try and settle to make it go away.

There are probably too many big names with influence who've had their hand in his till. It'll come to nothing. Shame, as a show of justice right now would do the US a hell of a lot of good in the world's eyes.

I'd imagine that he, and the NY AG, will settle the civil case with a massive fine. Neither, I imagine, really want a 5 year court case. The IRS will probably smack another, even bigger, penalty on him because they'll look at the overinflated assets he quoted to lenders and decide that if Trump was willing to claim that as true value then the IRS should assume that, too. Probably not a fine - although that may come, too - but instead a recalculation of his taxes which will screw him royally.
Him stealing classified documents and letting any old idiot get at them is where he's probably in the most jeopardy.
Still, almost certainly not going to jail. Just getting smacked with massive fines.

I think the end game is not prison, the GOP establishment who was almost certainly behind dobbing him in about him stealing state secrets and thousands of government records, really do not want him running in 24, he's polling consistently in the low 30s. They want Trumpism without Trump and know DeSantis is the better candidate. They are probably hoping he's convicted on a misdemeanor around mishandling of gov documents as such a conviction would barr him from running.
I suspect the dems relish going up against him again rather than a DeSantis or Abbott

I don't endorse violence, but if someone punched him in the face for just looking like that I don't think it would be undeserved.

Judges are starting to rule insurrectionist office holders to be removed from office under the 14th Amendment. Accountability is hitting home now. Republican lawmakers who participated in events near the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, have been put on notice: Courts across America may come after them. This month, a state judge in New Mexico ruled that even being near the Capitol on that day was enough to disqualify someone from seeking future public office. Basing his decision on the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, Judge Francis Mathews set forth case law that has not yet been challenged to a higher court and may become the basis for other lawsuits, including in Alaska. mustreadalaska.com/cowboys-for-trump-ruling-shows-how-those-who-went-to-jan-6-rally-can-be-removed-from-office-for-insurrection/Judge rules Wasilla lawmaker likely ineligible for office due to Oath Keepers membership, delaying election certification until trial concludes sports.yahoo.com/judge-rules-wasilla-lawmaker-likely-135000298.html

Too much false pride for him to testify. He really believes he's above all that.

I think if he testified he wouldn't be able to shut up. But he'll be advised by everyone to not bother going, and there's nothing the committee can really do to move things on from that.

Oh yeah, it's largely symbolic, no one expects he'd ever face questioning. Though this might be a message to DOJ.

Steve Bannon verdict: Ex Trump adviser gets four months in jail for contempt of Congress www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63332078More bit players facing some kind of accounting, though the main coup instigator still not charged. Justice delayed is justice denied.

At the end of a very bad week for the Orange Looser, a special council has been appointed to look into his criminality with a view to charging him for a whole array or criminal acts. Obviously he's squealing like a dropped baby about how much a victim he is, though it has to be said, if don't want to be subject to criminal investigations, stop being a criminal. www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63684546

It’s interesting that it’s bad for Trump. When the potential prosecution was in the hands of the US AG, who was appointed by Biden and is seen as a partially political gig, Trump would have been able to whine that it was politically motivated. Also it was much harder for Garland himself to bring any prosecution as a result.
Now that it’s in the hands of a neutral actor, it’s actually more likely to proceed, and harder for Trump to push back against. It’s also tougher for Trump to push back against because a lot of the Republicans who used to defend him are now thinking about replacing him instead.
Although, to be honest, I don’t think it’s really that important. It would be funny if he got convicted of stuff. And I suppose the stealing state secrets stuff really does warrant conviction. Mostly, though, the important thing is to have all the facts on the record. The left are a bit too hung up on prosecution.

I see that Biden has said that's it's "utterly fine" to murder journalists and has given Mohammed Bin Salman immunity from being sued in America for murdering that Khashoggi bloke.
