he wasn't shooting at 'just anybody' walking on his lawn. they were trying to steal his car and opened fire on him when he caught them doing it. why is that so difficult for you to grasp?

Why is difficult for you to grasp that if you kill someone, whatever the circumstances, you'll be arrested for questioning?
It doesn't necessarily mean you're 'the bad guy'. It's just procedure.
