Nah, I don't think it's prudishness. I love the full range of language and there is nothing to beat a well-timed Cat A swear word, in the right situation.

It's wrong to use that kind of language and aggressiveness in front of kids and anyone that you don't know really. It's wrong on lots of grounds: people find it offensive, it makes them uncomfortable, it sets a terrible example (especially from people who are held our as role models) and, there's a nasty element of entitlement and power play about it. It might be the same mentality that allows drivers of black 4x4s to park in disabled bays.
Dunno. Maybe that's not scientific, butbInexpect it's widely held, except where money or marketing trump common decency. Maybe try using obscene language at a kids party and see how you get on.
