There is a thought not mentioned enough that the original New Testament parchments were first written in hebrew, then translated into Greek.

Greek is generally accepted as the original, although some say Aramaic. As the books were variously written, it's likely that the two were used.

Oh I've spent the afternoon cooking and drinking, so please ignore me.

Made a lovely slow-cooked pork in apple and cider, served with honey-glazed carrots and mashed potatoes.

I was a bit Ed Byrne's Cooking While pissed but the result was good.

I've come to the conclusion that cooking while pissed tends to lead to disappointing results. I do drink a little when cooking, but I feel that it's better if I'm clear-headed. Also, my own appetite is better.

Still, I'm on the wagon at the moment, so perhaps I'm coming across like an ex-smoker. Mrs. B's aunt has just given up fags after 50 years. We've been saying for ages she should try vaping. She did, and pretty much knocked fags off overnight. She says she feels great.

I tend not to cook pissed. I actually tend not to cook when slightly drunk. It doesn't help me. I drank too much last night, but that is unrelated. I probably need to ease back a bit, on both the eating and drinking.

The sun's out and the land is getting less muddy, so the walks are getting longer again, thank goodness.

Mrs. B has a big op coming up, so we're under instructions to build up our fitness levels. Not before time as it's been a long, miserable winter.

Had a nice long ride up into the amountains today on a bike I restored over the winter, not bad for a 45 year old bike.
