Trump probably, almost certainly actually. And that's not a bad thing as he's so easily beaten in the general, he's on a 4 election loosing streak. No one wants Biden, but they like Trump even less

I didn’t watch and didn’t try and watch, but it’s hilarious that DeSanta and Elmo managed to severely damage each other yesterday in their cynical cross-marketing scheme.
Twitter collapsed, despite the viewing figures being absolutely pathetic. And of those viewing figures, loads had left by the time 30 minutes of tech herders finally fixed Twitter and allowed DeSantis to speak. And even then, after all that, apparently everyone finally realised that he has a really, really boring droning way of talking and the few people who remained were spectacularly underwhelmed.

I'm not really sure where to put this, but it's some fascinating research. Basically, on all the "culture war" bollocks, British Conservatives are closer to US Democrats, and much closer to British Labour than they are to US Republicans. While the Spectator Cunts go big on all this stuff, most actual British Tories are way more liberal and tolerant and don't give a f**k. It's why the Culture War playbook that idiots like Sue Ellen keep trying is basically a recipe for failure. Also, interesting fact I didn't know from down the thread: Black brits live longer than white brits. (Also almost all Brits live longer than almost all Americans except Asian Americans).
Other stuff in that shows that while racism and prejudice in the UK still exists (and Brits should try and fix that), it's basically trivial compared to how bad it is in the US, and that's one reason BLM in Britain was a complete soggy squid.

I'm not sure tory voters are that evil, but the party is very much to the right of its voters on many things these days and stuff like this is their attempt drag their voters further right, same with things like Turning Point UK, a direct offshoot of TPUS, trying desperately (and so far failing miserably) to inject US Christian nationalism and culture war crap into UK politics.

The weird thing is that I'm not even sure that most of the party is out in crazyland with Mids and Rees-Mogg and Mark Francois and Brendan ONeill.
If anything they're intellectually informed by the US right of the 90s, lots of libertarian freemarketeering stuff, sub-Ayn-Rand. But they really don't give a f**k about gays and god and blacks and wokeness and all that. They're actually quite woke themselves, but keep being told that the way to win elections is to copy Trump.
