I've never heard of him. Weakness in shallows.

I wouldn't want to borrow his sleeping bag, that's for sure.

Also, that list of 121 business leaders that are backing Kier is homeopathically weak sauce. It's genuinely pathetic.

I've never heard of him. Weakness in shallows. Ooh ... I see what you did there. Clever boy. Meanwhile, the latest Poll of Polls for the UK puts Labour on 45% and the Tories on 23%. Even adding in Reform (11%) and UKIP (1%), this seems to spell impending doom for those on the Right and the Stärke in der Tiefe party. I could be wrong here, but I suspect that someone has split someone else's vote.

Polls, schmolls. What a shallow non-argument.

Polls, schmolls. What a shallow non-argument. It's not an argument - it's a statement of fact. I have every faith that you genuinely understand the difference.

The BBC buys half of the Guardians that get sold. In their own words…. By far the most popular and widely read newspapers at the BBC are The Guardian and The Independent. Producers refer to them routinely for the line to take on running stories, and for inspiration on which items to cover. In the later stages of my career, I lost count of the number of times I asked a producer for a brief on a story, only to be handed a copy of The Guardian and told ‘it’s all in there’. – Peter Sissons, Former BBC News and Current Affairs presenter

It was very funny listening to Shadow business secretary Jonathan Reynolds getting absolutely arse-raped by the BBC's Emma Barnett about whether he identifies with the term "socialist". "Yes, I would describe myself as a Christian socialist in the best traditions of that [term]because that's about putting people first and to do that, you've got to have a set of policies that will deliver for people," he responds. Put to him that former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, and current Labour leader Keir Starmer, have also described themselves as socialists - which may confuse voters - Reynolds says he thinks voters care more about what their politicians want to do." He looked a proper Wally. Well worth a listen. Typical right-wing BBC. Their problem isn't Labour's right-wing politics, nor about his religious fervour that drives his right-wing politics, but about the word socialism.

Anyone who doesn't believe that Labour are pathetically weak with weakness in shallows hasn't been following along very closely as Starmer has run his own extra harsh housecleaning, flushing out anyone who might have an opinion and replacing them with grey centrist dads who'll do whatever it takes to get power.
Just because it's marginally less shallow than the current Tory desperation doesn't stop it being shallow. The dirty puddle at the end of the road is less shallow than a stream of weak piss.

Yeah, we were looking for an informed counter-argument, rather than some irrelevant stats. But you knew that. The Tories are on 45% and Labour are on 23%. An uninformed counter argument?. Correction: me getting the facts arse-about-face. There is no counter-argument from me to be had here; I merely reported this morning's latest poll data. Perhaps a counter-argument from you as to why the numbers are wrong would be helpful - even perhaps to you.

Polling is only marginally informative. If the Tories were leading the polls that would not tell us that the Tories had strength in depth. Any single poll is also a bit useless. This week we have
Dirty puddle 41 Weak piss 27
and
Dirty puddle 44 Weak piss 22
and
Dirty puddle 45 Weak piss 19
and
Dirty puddle 45 Weak piss 24
The Tories haven't got almost 50% better between the 19% and the 27% polls.
