See. If you're agreeing with the BBC it's more evidence of how shockingly right wing the BBC is.

The Tories are on 45% and Labour are on 23%. An uninformed counter argument?. Correction: me getting the facts arse-about-face. There is no counter-argument from me to be had here; I merely reported this morning's latest poll data. Perhaps a counter-argument from you as to why the numbers are wrong would be helpful - even perhaps to you. Why not quote the cricket score while you're at it? I suspect the only score most of the UK will be listening out for on Friday 5th July will be along the lines of Toryshire: 92 all out. Lord knows how you'll go about countering that particular "argument".

Not gonna happen, but this would be hilarious:
LAB: 47% (+3) CON: 20% (-2) REF: 12% (-2) LDEM: 9% (-) GRN: 7% (+1)
According to Electoral Calculus's seat calculator, that would leave the Tories with 29 seats and the Lib Dems as the official opposition (and, even, the SNP with only 12 seats).
Of course, Labour with a 430 seat majority would be disastrous, and them having over 80% of the seats with less than 50% of the vote is a comical demonstration of the appallingness of FPTP, but the rest of it would be very funny indeed.

What are the chances of Eddie Izzard MP after the election? I'd say very good.

Xzhey's wanted to for a long time and it looks like there's an opening in Brighton. "Lloyd Russell-Moyle has confirmed that he will be blocked from standing again in Brighton Kemptown. The left-winger, a former frontbencher under Jeremy Corbyn and Keir Starmer, told activists tonight that ‘yesterday, out of the blue, I received an administrative suspension letter.’" www.spectator.co.uk/article/lloyd-russell-moyle-suspended-from-the-labour-party/

The good news is that Abbo is completely on board with Starmer's decision-making ....
"Labour MP Diane Abbott tells a rally of supporters in Hackney the party "want me excluded from Parliament" Abbott says "the national party is insisting that I be banned" from being a Labour candidate in the general election She also says the party "haven’t communicated with me personally" and "haven’t given a reason for banning me"

I'm sure Dianne is just an isolated case though ....
"Jeremy Corbyn has given his speech at his campaign launch in north London. There were cheers from his supporters as he shouted, “I’m standing to be the independent MP for Islington North”.
He said he was standing in the general election to “make sure people are heard” and said that he was “also standing for democracy”. He accused Labour of “denying” democracy by not allowing him to stand in the general election for the party.
Corbyn said: “Labour members were denied a vote. If you shut down that democratic voice then you’ve got problems... that’s why I’ve decided I will run.”"

I had the numbers the other way round at 92, so perhaps I was being characteristically generous.
