Prince Harry when talking to his men was also recorded on video. He was talking as army men do in a down to earth easy going way. While doing so , in a friendly tone, he called a fellow soldier ' our paki friend' and later in the vid he told a man with a thing coverin his head that he looked ' like a raghead' . Nond was said in a nasty way, but now Trevor Philips is calling for a investigation. Harry has said sorry if hes caused offence in the vid which was made 3 years ago. He wasnt being nasty! End of.?

How pathetic is this story?
Let any one of you that hasn't used any *derogatory* (*used very loosely as in Yank, Brit, Skinny, Tubs,Pom, etc.) term on anyone, ever, be the first to cast a stone. Leave him alone, leave anyone alone that has come out with such things without being nasty and racist in meaning.
We are going way over the top on this PC tripe.

Harry's just one of the lads in my view. Because of his status he will be picked up on such things in this climate. Poor devil.

If he was saying it in a nasty way , shouting and being abusive Ahmed would have told him a few words back at him i reckon. But it wasnt like that. Its wrong of the media to try and make out this is a racist slur when it wasnt ment like that in any way as u can tell by the vid which i bets on U tube

There seem to be people just waiting around for the opportunity to be affronted by something so they can go on the telly to bleat about it. Ridiculous.

The word "paki" is a derogatory term in Britain - but this was clearly banter between Harry and a fellow soldier, so it's a fuss over nothing, especially as the alleged "victim" doesn't seem to have been offended.
It's the army FFS, people say un-PC things, they always have done. I'd have thought that not hurting people's feelings is pretty low down the list of priorities when you're out there in a kill or be killed situation.
I suspect in this case that it's someone who has a grudge and/or wants to make money who is behind this. Why else would it be dug up after three years?

Harry is foolish if he thinks he can live a normal life like a normal guy. Too bad really. Everything he says and does will be scrutinized by a very extremely P.C. nation. Down side of being born into his situation , Eh ?

I feel sorry for Harry too! Today's young royals are encouraged to live more normally and then when they behave like a normal young person it appears to be politically incorrect, rascist, whatever. I really don't think the young royals can win. If they appear to starchy and regal they get criticised, and when they let their hair down with their friends, they get criticised too. Being royal does carry tremendous responsibilities, i am sure they are aware of that. However even royalty are entitled to some time off with their friends and i am sure it is on these occasions when these slip-ups happen. Prince Harry seems a hard-working compassionate guy, not unlike his mother the late Princess Diana. She worked hard too, and played hard. Give the lad a break i think!

This story has been really pushed by the press. I heard the same Muslim telling us how awful Harry was. He then went on to tell us about how dreadful it was that Harry dressed up in a Hitler uniform. I mean, what a load of rubbish. Harry has been out there helping kill nutty muslims so they are not going to be happy about him. So to get a balanced report who do the BBC go to? A Muslim.
Harry is young, he is trying to do his bit and he is a bit "bravado" some of the time and being young he can make mistakes like the rest of us.
The press have gone way over the top on this one.

Any news or incident regarding a young royal seems to make the front pages of the newspapers these days, however trivial.

I've just seen it on the news. I think Prince Harry's a pretty cool guy. He was just having a laugh, it all happened three years ago anyway. No harm was done as the guy "Paki" was directed at was a good friend and wasn't offended at the time. End of issue as far as i am concerned. Hardly worth making a mountain out of a molehill.

Why couldn't Harry have said "Pakistani guy", like most other normal human beings....hang on...he was the prince who wore a Nazi uniform, was he not?.... that figures

I think the important thing to remember here is that the guy the word was directed at wasn't at all offended as Prince Harry is his friend. There is a difference between a bit of tomfoolery and sheer malice and rascism. The Nazi outfit although foolish in retrospect and obviously Prince Harry didn't think of the repercussions at the time, was for a fancy dress party. I do agree that the Nazi outfit was thoughtless in view of the press coverage it would undoubtedly receive.

To me it just shows Harry as having about as much intelligence and common-sense as your average chav. Glad he is in the forces, off the streets (well the British ones anyway)....

As somebody who never used any derogatory terms I'll be the first to cast a stone.
Firstly 'Paki' is not the same as Pom, or Brit or Yank and anybody who thinks it is, is quite frankly, a complete retard. 'Paki' has long been used as a term of abuse in the UK directed at all South Asian. Do you honestly think people who refer to the 'local paki shop' take the time to establish whether or not the owner is of Pakistani descent, or wehther they are Indian, Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi? Tcha right.
That said the NoTW is searching for a controversy here. To be honest being surprised at such language in the military is like being surprised that gospel songs contain references to God.
