So, we all agree that Kamala Harris is more qualified than any of the other potential candidates for President who could have stood or have stood in this election? Good. Now we can move on from that racist hogwash. And go back to Baloo's other racist hogwash where he was claiming that she is not "even remotely representative of the group we are given to believe they are championing". Despite the fact that she is not championing any group, he is still hung up on her blackness, going on and on about it, can't deal with the fact that a black and south asian woman is just well qualified and seems to be a pretty effective candidate and there's nothing particularly racial or gendered about her campaign. Apart from the panicked freak out from the racist right on the internet, nobody's really remarking on it. It's just like any other candidacy, based on the fact that she's done a sh*t ton of effective stuff at many levels of government, has - from what little has been released - broadly coherent and sensible policies, and is not a blithering senile atrophying fool who's surrounded by some of the weirdest people in the world. Baloo's like an England fan of the 1980s, absolutely astonished by the existence of John Barnes (and throwing bananas at him) but thinking black footballers are speedy but lightweight and can only really be tricky wingers. The rest of us are in 2024 and watching football teams full of black players and white players in all positions on the pitch and largely not even thinking about their black or whiteness but whether they're any good. Ah . You're massively missing the point. Hired. Job done. Her campaign doesn't need to be either gendered or racialised. In fact, that would probably do more harm than good: a point I have already made and observable in fact. I was made aware of that by an interview with a senior Democrat on R4 last week.

This is such an odd argument from the Bear. But when you are race obsessed you cannot see anything else. The only people making a big thing of her ethnicity are the Trumpites. The only group she is championing are Democrats (and those fed up with Trump and the current Republican Party.) See above.

Yes I already commented on your race obsession. Your continued obsessing over her ethnicity is just further evidencing my point.
The only people that cannot stop focusing on the fact she is biracial are you and the rest of the Trumpites / Harris detractors. Left / liberals / democrats / Harris supporters don’t seem to see it as worthy of comment. And they definitely aren’t pretending to “champion” any ethnic / gender groups.

You've got nothing, have you? Apart from a sinking feeling, perhaps.

What sinking feeling? What are you talking about? I am just pointing out your obsession with her ethnicity.

The sinking feeling that you've been arguing a point that was never made, and made a tit of yourself, again.

Cos it's all you've done since being called out on your race obsession regarding Harris.
You do it so often

It seems ironic, just at the point where we'll see Kamala's tokenistic annointment. This btw was you dog whistling Harris only got her job cos she was black and not cos she was very qualified for it

Oh, she's deffo a diversity hire. No question about that. As is this, yeah I know you're trying to pretend this was not the racist statement it clearly is, but you're only fooling yourself.

Ah, that's where you're wrong. Not just because she was black. She deffo got the VP gig as a DH. That's a widely-held opinion, but that wasn't the point I made. But you know that.
She got the VP gig as a DH, and became the Presidential Candidate by accident. There's no denying that.

Not sure why you're so reluctant to own your racism, I mean it infuses almost every post you write. We know you started off using DEI as an insult, clearly implying she only got the job cos she was black, not cos of how qualified she is, but are now scrabbling backwards slipping in your own sh*t when called on it

No she was from an all female shortlist (women being a majority in the US FTR) but there is nothing to suggest she was not qualified for the role. Nor is there anything to suggest that a similarly qualified white male would have been deemed unqualified. And, where it matters, her qualifications vs. her candidate, she is far more qualified.

The sinking feeling that you've been arguing a point that was never made, and made a tit of yourself, again. No you have repeatedly been obsessed with her race. That is clear. Over and over again. Obsessed over her ethnicity and gender when nobody else cares about it.
