I'm glad you agree with Robinson is just like Hitler. We're making progress.

I've never had a good word for either. Putting Hitler in nick didn't help much, did it?

I've never had a good word for either. Putting Hitler in nick didn't help much, did it? Putting a lot of people in the nick doesn’t help but we should still punish people for breaking the law. Your racist friends are not an exception.

Tbf Hitler had a private cell, with a desk and a secretary at his call, he had a succession of visitors and was let out early. He did the softest time imaginable.

It makes me chuckle every time the schoolyard sneaks refer to Tommy Robinson as "whose real name is Yaxley Lennon", like he's some sort of toff masquerading as a blue collar geezer. "This morning I had another talk with the German Chancellor, Herr Hitler - whose real name is Adolf Schickelgruber - and here is the paper which bears his name upon it as well as mine ...." I couldn't give a flying f*ck how many barrels he has to his surname. You can't polish a turd, and that's that.

You may not be able to polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.
Or, in this case, porridge.

It's got very little to do with the conditions in prison. Both brands (Tommy and Hitler) will/were able to spin this as political persecution by a weak and reactionary establishment. Stand by for the full Wat Tyler act from the EDL.
"They tried to silence him, they persecuted him and they tried to banish him from the kingdom. But brave Tommy wasn't afraid: he had faith in the law and habeus corpus as set out by Good King Richard* and he came home to Merry Olde England and faced ordeals .... and slew dragons .... etc."

Well, if that happens then it will merely be the EDL proving beyond all reasonable doubt that they really are as thick as they appear to be on the mass media.
The "establishment" and the "they" in your context are not the politicians, don't forget; it is the judiciary, who have found Yaxley-Lennon wanting w.r.t. one of the oldest Laws in English statute.
Perhaps English Law should be applauded most by those who bang on about its superiority over the Laws of Johnny Foreigner - an easy concept, really.

Oh, I see that "Tommy Robinson is Hitler" is not viewed as an insult. It's more "The poor lambs are both persecuted by the evil non-racist establishment and will rise again to become emperors of the world"

Why are the left obsessed with this Johnny Robertson? They do like their bête noire, the left. Anthony Staite, that's another one.
