They don't help themselves, do they? "A black female football coach who claimed takeaways as expenses has sued for race discrimination after being investigated by the FA. Christina Oshodi billed for meals from the likes of Domino's and KFC whilst working from home and also filed expenses for cleaning and hygiene products, an employment tribunal has been told. When challenged on these submissions, Ms. Oshodi claimed she was buying 'culturally specific' foods, saying that she 'eats food of African origin'." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13966607/Black-female-football-coach-sues-FA-race-discrimination-investigated.html

It’s weird because a safe assumption is usually that the FA are doing whatever they’re doing wrong, for the wrong reasons, probably in the most reactionary and racist way.
So when they’re accidentally right it bothers me.

Fried chicken can be delicious. It is widely considered culturally linked to African-Americans in the US. I don’t think it’s African African, though.

Yeah, the Colonel doesn't appear to be African. Afrikaans perhaps.

I think it’s actually a Southern states creation - it probably became linked to African-Americans due to so many migrating to the North during Jim Crow but it’s more geographically specific than racial. My white Yank friends from the southern states all seem to love fried chicken.

Best to put this in the Is this racism? thread ... 'Tommy Robinson jailed for contempt of court' : Can we jail you? Yes we can ... !Yes, folks - it's racism and not, as his counsel would have us believe, "... his principles that have brought him before the court". Thing is, Yaxley-Lennon and his ilk will keep banging on about English Law, and yet they fall at essentially the first hurdle, the Laws of Contempt going back to 1297 when they were signed into one of the earliest amendments to Magna Carta. Still, "Tommy" is British, so he gets the concept of irony. Maybe.

It’s amazing how those who bang on about British values and the importance of upholding them pick and choose which ones they want to uphold. His supporters probably think this is unfair…just because.

If Tommy ten names can't abide by the laws of the country he chooses to live in then he should move to somewhere else. In fact we should deport him, serial criminals who show no remorse like him have no place in England eh?

So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? - Corinthians 14:23 A perfectly reasonable question then from one for whom English is his first language : Are you out of your mind?

It makes me chuckle every time the schoolyard sneaks refer to Tommy Robinson as "whose real name is Yaxley Lennon", like he's some sort of toff masquerading as a blue collar geezer.
"This morning I had another talk with the German Chancellor, Herr Hitler - whose real name is Adolf Schickelgruber - and here is the paper which bears his name upon it as well as mine ...."
